The paper seeks to understand organisational context and culture’s influence on engaging First Nations People in Canada work. Organisations have many opportunities attract engage Indigenous people, who distinct worldviews unique cultural customs not necessarily reflected a North American workplace. people also grapple with the historical ongoing disparate impacts of settler colonialism that intersect colonial systems most every area their lives. This study worked within research principles encourage articulation deeply felt experiences points view how viewed interacted findings reviewed twelve individuals working non-Indigenous organisations. Through anti-colonial critical theoretical lenses, reveals culture defined this sample shaped views what is essential them illustrate would like see workplace culture, they feel needs be recognised as part context, approaches practises are important for them. Understanding effect positive work interactions provides new information leaders, managers, diversity officers, Human Resource practitioners better support engagement It may offer an approach other culturally diverse groups. results add value fields theory, management studies, wholistic theory. further discussion processes decolonization recognition minority rights
